"We couldn't be happier with our new home. The Iowa winds don't bother us anymore."

Ken and Patty Collins, Center Point, Iowa

Nine Great Reasons: #2
It's Quieter

“This house is so tight we get virtually no dust, even though we live on a gravel road. The furniture and my wife’s decorating stay clean.”

Harold and Sue Lande
Huxley, IA

A Premium Structure, built with Amvic insulated concrete forms, provides exceptional sound attenuation. While a conventional wood framed building has a sound transmission class (STC) rating of 36-38, A Premium Structure has an STC rating of 50+, a reduction of over two-thirds of transmitted noise. This is because the density of the concrete, sandwiched between two layers of polystyrene, allows no gaps and no vibration. High quality Minnkota Windows also contribute to sound rejection with double or triple layers of glass and thermal breaks in the frames. In addition, there is no fan noise from a furnace blower, since Rehau radiant heating uses no fans or blowers.

The complete absence of noise is one of the first things you'll notice when you walk into A Premium Structure.
