Unico High Velocity Air Conditioning System

“This house is so tight we get virtually no dust, even though we live on a gravel road. The furniture and my wife’s decorating stay clean.”

Radiant heat is our method of choice for heating A Premium Structure, but when it comes to cooling, moving air is still the best method. Since radiant heating requires no ductwork, it makes little sense to install large ductwork just for air conditioning. That’s one of the main reasons we like the high-velocity air conditioning system from Unico.

The Unico system has a number of benefits that set it apart from all other central air conditioning solutions:

  • First, because it uses 3-inch flexible tubing, it takes less than one-quarter the space of a traditional air conditioning system. Large ductwork and vents aren’t required. Outlet vents are small and unobtrusive.

  • Second, the Unico system provides greater humidity removal with the superior and efficient design of the cooling coils. The Unico system cooling coils are two times as thick as traditional cooling coils, and air is moved across them more slowly. This allows the hot air from the room to stay on the super cold coils longer, which results in up to 30% greater humidity removal. Lower indoor humidity creates an indoor environment that is more comfortable.
  • Third, the Unico system is quiet. Even though the air is moving at a high velocity, it is delivered to the room using specially designed diffusers to keep air noise silent. The air handler is designed to isolate noise and vibration, and the supply tubes are lined with sound dampening material.
  • Fourth, the system will blend with any décor. Diffusers are available in a variety of colors and finishes in 2” round or 8" x ¾". They can be installed in ceilings, floors, or sidewalls.
