PEX plumbing systems have become the standard for high quality homes and commercial buildings. Rehau is the company that pioneered the PEX system. PEX plumbing uses flexible tubing and brass fittings instead of soldered copper. Typically, piping is run directly from a manifold to each fixture, eliminating numerous fittings and joints.

PEX piping is extremely durable and results in much less heat loss and condensation than copper. Because it is flexible, it is able to bend around corners, eliminating many fittings and their potential for leaks. Plus,

  • PEX piping does not pit or corrode over time.
  • The smooth interior pipe wall resists scaling and deposit build-up.
  • PEX expands to minimize pressure surges and related noises.
  • It is freeze resistant.
  • It does not become brittle at cold temperatures

Rehau PEX piping is superior to others because of it’s specially formulated, cross-linked polyethylene, manufactured using a high pressure peroxide method. The high degree of cross linking results in a pipe that is much stronger and longer lasting than other manufacturers’.
